SSC stands for Staff Selection Commission. It was established in the year 1975 and its headquarters is located in New Delhi. SSC is an autonomous organization under the Government of India, responsible for recruiting staff for various Group B and Group C posts in different Ministries, Departments, and Organizations of the Government of India.
The Staff Selection Commission conducts several national-level examinations every year to select eligible candidates for government jobs. Some of the popular SSC examinations include SSC CGL, SSC CHSL, SSC GD, SSC JE, SSC JHT, SSC MTS, and others. Through these examinations, SSC fills thousands of vacancies across central government departments and offices throughout India.
